As a dog rescue organization, it is the mission of Adopt Rescue Dogs/Legacy Ranch to first, attend to the health and well-being of our animals, and second, to find loving, caring forever homes for them. To this end, we maintain a shelter facility for the care and evaluation of each incoming abandoned dog, a training area to teach basic social skills, and to help prepare the dogs for placement and assimilation into a family home, and an adoption area, where potential adopters can comfortably interact with their chosen animal.This takes varying amounts of time, depending on each animal's circumstances. During this period, in which we continue to feed and medicate the dogs, we count on your donations of time, money and supplies. Most of all, we desire good homes for our dogs. If you are planning to add a dog to your family, please think adoption first. We have many dogs, but too few homes to love and care for them.
Because we are in hard economic times, Adopt Rescue Dogs/Legacy Ranch, as well as most other shelter and rescue organizations, has had a large increase in abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Adopt Rescue Dogs/Legacy Ranch holds adoptions on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at the Petco store in the Woodlands, at the Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl. On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, we can be found at the Petco store in Conroe, at I 45 and the 336 Loop. If the month has a 5th Saturday, we spend it at the PetSmart store in Conroe, at I 45 and FM 3083. Our adoption hours are noon to 4:00 pm. Please come! We would love to meet you and introduce you to some of the best looking and brightest dogs in town!
